May 2023 Herefordshire council elections
Here are our results from the Herefordshire elections on 4th May. We grew the Green group of councillors from seven to nine.
We stood in 18 wards. Vote share for the four main parties across those wards was 42% Conservative, 39% Green, 17% Liberal Democrat and 2% Labour.
Birch
Toni Fagan was re-elected with 45% of the vote.
Bishops Frome & Cradley
Ellie Chowns was re-elected with 69% of the vote.
Bromyard Bringsty
Karen Rock came second to the Conservative with 31% of the vote.
Central
Catherine was elected, holding the ward previously held by Green Jeremy Milln, with 46% of the vote.
Greyfriars
Diana was re-elected with 41% of the vote.
Hope End
Helen was elected with 59% of the vote, winning the ward from a Conservative.
Kington
Helen Hamilton came second to the Liberal Democrat with 30% of the vote.
Ledbury South
Stef Simmons was elected with 39% of the vote, winning the ward from a Conservative.
Ledbury West
Justine Peberdy was elected with 46% of the vote, winning the ward from a Liberal Democrat.
Leominster East
Jenny Bartlett was re-elected with 50% of the vote.
Leominster North & Rural
Bryony John came second to the Conservative with 43% of the vote, losing out by only 68 votes.
Leominster South
Mark Woodall was elected, holding the ward previously held by Green Trish Marsh, with 45% of the vote.
Leominster West
Jill Hanna came second to the Conservative, with 36% of the vote.
Sutton Walls
Taylor Witchurch came second to the Conservative with 19% of the vote.
Three Crosses
Rebecca Tully came second to the Conservative with 34% of the vote.
May 2019 Council Elections – RESULTS
Greens stood in 12 wards, winning seven councillors and coming second in the remaining five wards.

Below are the results of the last three general elections. We’re proud that in both constituencies, on each occasion our vote count put us in the top third of all constituencies who stood a Green candidate. And in North Herefordshire we came in the top ten in 2017 and 2019.
